The Weston Community Service Coalition is a coordinated effort by many of the Weston organizations that engage in community service to promote such service to and by the people of Weston. Our goals include:

-     Raising awareness of community service needs to encourage the public to engage in community service;

-     Communicating community service opportunities to the public;

-     Maintaining a dialogue with local governmental agencies to identify ongoing needs;

-    Serving as a platform for community service organizations to communicate among themselves to maximize their efforts to serve the people of Weston; and

-     Coordinating community service calendars to prevent overlap or duplication of effort among our various community service organizations.

WHAT'S NEW 

We have a new initiative to identify Neighborhood Captains who can be important contributors to the Town's response in the event of emergencies. For more information, go to The Weston Community Service Coalition facebook page.

  

Periodically, we will list on this website the more immediate needs for community service volunteers. In addition, we will maintain an ongoing list of community service needs. In both cases, we also list the person to contact if you are able to respond to those needs. We will maintain a list of those items particularly needed by the Weston food pantry. Finally, we will maintain a calendar that will list future events sponsored by our various community service organizations. We presently have over 200 potential volunteers (and growing) on our list.
